About iNEMI

Position Available

Position:    Executive Director and CEO, International Electronics Manufacturing Initiative, Inc.  Reports to Chairman of iNEMI Board and is also an Ex-officio member of the Board of Directors.

 Responsibilities (Focus is external):

Membership development:

  • Recruit new members
  • Ensure “customer satisfaction” for ongoing participation of current members
  • Develop and maintain iNEMI’s value proposition/compelling story
  • Provide executive interface with member firms

Chief Executive Officer of Corporation:

  • Keeper of corporate book
  • Owner of Federal filings (e.g. NCRA)
  • Responsible for iNEMI’s top-level strategy
  • Responsible for company business policies and direction, including budgets and human resource policies
  • Manage corporate office and staff

Secretary to Board of Directors:

  • Schedule and manage Board of Directors and Council meetings
  • Responsible for minutes and action items

Drive Public Relations to support iNEMI goals:

  • Develop PR plan with Director of Communications
  • Be primary interface/spokesperson for iNEMI with press and also at key industry venues/events

Industry relations:

  • Manage relationships with other consortia/trade associations
  • Manage senior level interactions/relationships with other groups
  • Facilitate collaboration with groups to increase leverage

Ideal candidate attributes/experience:

  • Strong background in technology development/deployment in leadership roles
  • Strong connections/stature in the electronics technology/manufacturing community
  • Engineering or Science education (MS/PhD)
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Experience in organizing & managing industry efforts staffed by volunteers
  • Business experience (iNEMI is a small non-profit company), such as a principal in a start-up, running a small business or serving as an industry officer in organizations (with fiscal responsibilities)
  • Ability to “lead/influence from the rear” (industry-driven, not staff-driven)
  • Ability to work/resolve controversy in a volunteer environment
  • Ability to operate at several levels (strategic, operational, technical/business)
  • Ability to interface at several levels within member companies (i.e. from individual contributor to executive)
