Preliminary agenda

Registration

Work is underway on the 2009 iNEMI Roadmap, and iNEMI is hosting a series of regional industry workshops this summer to review progress to date.  The European workshop is scheduled for June 18, 2008, at IMEC headquarters in Leuven, Belgium.  Workshop participants will get an advance look at roadmap contents plus have the opportunity to provide comments and input. In addition, all participants will automatically receive a copy of the 2009 iNEMI Roadmap CD when it is published.

Background
Since 1994, iNEMI (the International Electronics Manufacturing Initiative) has been developing a biennial technology roadmap spanning a ten-year horizon. This meeting, which is open to non-members, is one of several regional meetings intended to solicit input for the 2009 iNEMI Roadmap.  Meetings are also being held in North America and Asia.

Objectives

  • Discuss draft roadmap chapters for primary technology and infrastructure areas.
  • Obtain European input to these draft chapters.
  • Ensure inclusion of key European issues in the 2009 Roadmap.

Intended audience

  • Representatives from electronics industry, institutes and government agencies interested in obtaining a preliminary view of the 2009 Roadmap.
  • Electronics industry leaders willing to contribute to the 2009 iNEMI Roadmap.

Benefits of participation

  • Get an advance look at draft chapters of the 2009 iNEMI Roadmap.
  • Gain an understanding of the iNEMI roadmapping process in terms of its current capabilities and impact.
  • Opportunity to interact with key technology and business leaders as well as iNEMI staff.
  • Participation in the 2009 Roadmap workshop will help you gain an early insight into the likely future direction of the electronics industry by helping to identify technology and business gaps.  This collaboration can influence the strategy and investments of your company as it considers future plans for technology and supply chain initiatives.
