HERNDON, VA (May 3, 2006) — There is only one week left to register for the International Electronics Manufacturing Initiative’s (iNEMI’s) roadmap workshop. The full-day meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, May 17, at consortium headquarters in Herndon, Va., and is open to anyone in the electronics industry, including non-members.
The workshop will include reports on all 19 technology and infrastructure chapters being developed for the 2007 iNEMI Roadmap. These chapters cover business processes/technologies, design technologies, manufacturing technologies, and component subsystem technologies (see agenda at
http://www.inemi.org/cms/calendar/iNEMI_Roadmap_North_American_workshop.html#Preliminary%20Agenda).
Participants will get an early look at the information covered in the chapters, and will also be able provide input and feedback.
The workshop registration fee is $200 for non-members (the fee is waived for iNEMI members), which includes a continental breakfast, lunch and a copy of the 2007 iNEMI Roadmap CD when published in February 2007 (which sells for $250). Registration deadline is May 12. For additional information about, or to register for, the North American workshop, go to

About iNEMI
The International Electronics Manufacturing Initiative’s mission is to assure leadership of the global electronics manufacturing supply chain. Based in Herndon, Va., the industry-led consortium is made up of approximately 70 manufacturers, suppliers, industry associations and consortia, government agencies and universities. iNEMI roadmaps the needs of the electronics industry, identifies gaps in the technology infrastructure, establishes implementation projects to eliminate these gaps (both business and technical), and stimulates standards activities to speed the introduction of new technologies. The consortium also works with government, universities and other funding agencies to set priorities for future industry needs and R&D initiatives.
