Kick-Off of iNEMI/IPC Working Group to Address Circularity Challenges: Defining Circularity

iNEMI and IPC are collaborating to identify and address key circularity challenges in electronics manufacturing. This initiative gained momentum following a successful workshop at the Electronics Goes Green (EGG) 2024 conference in Berlin, setting the stage for a series of focused efforts to tackle the industry's most pressing circularity issues. As a direct result of these industry discussions, four discussion groups are launching in September.
The Defining Circularity group will develop a comprehensive and widely applicable definition of circularity for the electronics industry. If you want to get involved with this or any of the working groups, please contact Kelly Scanlon at IPC (kellyscanlon@ipc.org).

- Economic Incentives: This team will explore the financial aspects of circularity, including potential return on investment (ROI) and other motivators for adopting circular practices. Kick-off meeting: Tuesday, September 17, 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. EDT
- Expertise and Education: Focused on identifying knowledge gaps and developing educational resources to support effective implementation of circularity principles. Kick-off meeting: Thursday, September 19, 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. EDT
