iNEMI Seminar: Mitigating Creep Corrosion with Effective Test

September 7, 2018
Lenovo Nankang Office
Taipei, Taiwan

In this seminar, iNEMI’s Qualification Test Development for Creep Corrosion Test project shared the details of an innovative flowers-of-sullfur (FoS) test developed by the project team for creep corrosion qualification test of PCBAs. The test they developed is inexpensive and easy to maintain. It also has the potential to be used as a general-purpose corrosion chamber for material and technology development to mitigate corrosion failures.

The team’s objective with this seminar was to increase awareness of the environmental challenges to electronic products and corrosion-related failures, to share information about the FoS test they developed, and to encourage industry adoption of corrosion test to develop materials and technologies that can mitigate creep corrosion.
