Abstract
When it comes to closed-loop manufacturing, artificial intelligence (AI) will play a fundamental role in improving performance, reducing waste, and creating self-sufficient environments. Yet, many suppliers and manufacturers are attempting to succeed in the Industry 4.0 by adopting closed-loop solutions using non-standard methodologies and highly customized modules. This presentation will explore the benefits and challenges of implementing closed-loop applications in conjunction with inspection systems that provide accurate and reliable 3D measurement-based data to optimize the process with real-time adjustments that are powered by AI.
