Eco-Scoring at Barco
This presentation will focus on how Barco developed an internal eco-scoring tool and how they keep it relevant with current market demands, future regulations (covered under the EU green deal) and the impact to the company’s products.
About the Speaker
Jan Daem is Environmental Compliance Officer at Barco where he leads the company’s in-house eco team responsible for environmental product compliance, compliance data collection, chemical product safety, packing design and EPR reporting.
Jan is overseeing product development with a focus on sustainable design anticipating future regulatory, standards and market demands. He has international experience in creating product standards and is an active member of TC76, TC100X, TC110X and CLCJWG10. Jan closely collaborates with industry associations such as Agoria, LightingEurope andDIGITALEUROPE, and interacts with different governmental bodies.
Jan holds a masters degree in Electronics, ICT obtained at KHBO and a masters in Safety and Environment Engineering from the University of Leuven.
