iNEMI Names Grace O'Malley Vice President of Operations

The International Electronics Manufacturing Initiative (iNEMI), an industry-led consortium, has named Grace O’Malley vice president of operations. O’Malley has served as manager of iNEMI’s European activities since 2007, most recently as managing director for the EMEA region. She replaces Robert (Bob) Pfahl, PhD, who will retire from iNEMI at the end of the year.

“Grace brings a great set of strengths and capabilities to this role,” said Bill Bader, CEO for iNEMI. “With her international manufacturing experience she has been a valuable asset to us in Europe and I expect her to be able to grow her contribution when working with our worldwide operations and members. She has increased iNEMI’s recognition and activities in Europe and, most importantly, has led significant growth in our European–headquartered membership over the past three years by driving real value for European electronics manufacturing companies. Her experience and leadership will help iNEMI grow its value proposition for our current and future members.”

Bader says that O’Malley will begin the transition into her new role during the fourth quarter of this year and will officially start as the new vice president January 1, 2014. She will continue to reside in Limerick, Ireland.

Bob Pfahl has served as iNEMI’s vice president of global operations since 2002 and, prior to that, worked with Motorola, where he was involved with iNEMI from its inception.  He served as director of roadmapping for the 1994 and 1996 cycles (the first roadmaps published by the consortium). He was also a founding member of iNEMI’s Technical Committee, which plans the consortium’s technical strategy and prioritizes research needs of the electronics manufacturing industry.
