Through a community-based approach, this project began establishing the groundwork for developing an implementable plan for a value recovery system for hard disk drives, with an emphasis on a circular economy. This webinar reported on results and findings from the Value Recovery from End-of-Life Electronics Project (Metals Recycling, Phase 2). The project team presented the findings of their work examining hard disk drive recovery options (whole, parts/components and materials). They also reported on their efforts to determine and maximize value recovery, review current and best practices, and identify barriers and opportunities in the recovery chain.
